Has undergone significant alterations but original form remains intact.HistoryMcCleery Street was named after John McCleery, a Fremantle merchant and auctioneer from 1879 to 1889. He died in 1911. House, 15 McCleery Street is on Lot is 13B of 7. Rates books record allotments 31 and 32 in 1881 and the 1882 record is for a cottage at 31 and no entry for number 32. The 1885 entry is for a cottage and undeveloped allotment 10A of 31, 32. In 1886 recording is of cottages and an allotment of 10 acres. The 1888 entry is for a cottage of 6 rooms, numbered 13A and an undeveloped lot, numbered 14B. By 1899 only one cottage is recorded and it is given the number 55 in 1904 /05. Notes in "The Veterans" by F.H. Broomhall are regarding the original owner/occupier, Daten Samuel, a pensioner. Physical DescriptionSingle storey limestone and brick quoining zincalume hipped roof house, has two storey weatherboard additions at the rear.
