Reference numberES00212Description1965-1968 The original shops were demolished in July 1964. Bairds opened on 20 September 1965 and became Target in December 1972. Coles opened on 14 October 1965. Later known as Fossey Supermarket, the business closed down on 29 July 1995 after 30 years of operation. The Spotlight Co purchased the building in July 1995 for $1.625 million. Note Freecorns on left on corner of Adelaide and Queen Streets. This building was formerly Fisher Beards drapery store. A number of shops, an office, garage, rear workshop and Freecorns were demolished on lots pt333 and 324 between October 1968 and August 1969.
