Proclaimed as a fishing harbour on 30.07.1924 under the Ports and Harbours Act of 1917. 1944 - a 200 metre mole thrown out at the foot of Grey Street. Financed by P.W.D. and F.C.C. to combat erosion. 1949 - breakwater on the Northern side added. 30.08.1961 - amended boundaries. The photograph is pre 1976 as the Stan Reilly Social Centre and Frail Aged Lodge, South Terrace, is not yet built. Aerial views of Collie, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk Streets.Date1976PhotographerH.
