Reference numberLH000549ADescriptionOrizaba (6077 tons, built 1886), wrecked February 1905. The photograph is taken from the Manx Fairy conveying day trippers. The Orizaba was wrecked on Five Fathom Bank, two and a half miles north of Coventry Reef and two miles from the South West extremity of Garden Island. Heading WNW, list 20 degrees to port, draft 24 foot, depth of water 20 foot. It broke in half and slipped off the reef on the 2nd or 3rd August 1907. Source: Mr Jones, 1977.
