Next is the Proclamation Treet (1890) and the Marmion Memorial in a reserve known as Mayor's Park. The Marmion Memorial was erected by public subscription to the memory of W. Marmion (1846-1896) and unveiled on 9.01.1902.The Roman Catholic Presbytery towards the centre was demolished and rebuilt in 1916.In the centre is St. Patrick's Church, completed 1900.
