Reference numberLH000858DescriptionBarrington Clarke Wood was born in Fremantle and died August 25th 1903 in Mandurah. He was a member of the Fremantle Town Council in 1875 and Mayor from 1883-1885. In 1887 he was a J.P. and in 1888 moved to Perth and opened an auctioneers and land agency . He was Member for West Perth from 1894 to 1901 and appointed Commissioner for Railways and Director of Public Works in September 1900.
