Reference numberLH000995BDescriptionAt the turn of the 19th century, Bishop Gibney invited the Christian Brothers to take over St Patrick's, High Street. In 1901 a High School and Brothers residence was completed in Ellen Street. The buildings were blessed by Bishop Gibney on Sunday 3rd February and the High School opened the following day with an attendance of 29. The building has been extended several times.
