The final match of the 1906 season played on Fremantle Oval 22.09.1906 resulted in a win for Cottesloe, (2 goals, 8 behinds), defeating East Fremantle (2 goals, 7 behinds). A concert and dance was held in the East Fremantle Town Hall on 24.09.1906 to raise money for a headstone for the grave of the team Vice Captain, E T Kelly, who was killed at his workplace, Midland Junction Railway Workshops during the season.
