In 1905 he died and Herbert Henry Oxbrow purchased the business from the executor. On the back is written: Dear Madam, We have pleasure in advising that we are now making our first display of Autumn and Winter Novelties, consisting of all that is newest in Millinery, Jackets, Dress Goods, Trimmings, etc. The favour of an early visit of inspection will be esteemed.
