Reference numberLH001297BDescriptionThe Government Stores and old Customs House were built in stages between 1851 and 1898. From 1879 to c1904 they were used as a Customs House and Bonded Warehouse. From 9.03.1882 to 1888 a Post Office operated from the building. In the mid twentieth Century, it was occupied by the Public Works Department Architectural Division.
