On the left is Mavis Wright; born Box Hill, Victoria and moved to WA when three. She was employed as an usherette during World War II. Her pay was two pounds five shillings per week. Films were shown 11am, 2pm and 7pm; admission was one shilling and ninepence in the stalls and two shillings and threepence in the circle.
