Reference numberLH001842DescriptionGuiseppe was the only child of Vincenzo and Maria Marchese, born 1898. In 1908, Vicenzo, Guiseppe and his uncle Antonio migrated to Fremantle. Later Vicenzo returned to Italy to bring out his wife. The Marchese family were fishermen and during the winter Guiseppe worked in a wool scouring firm. In 1948 he built a new fishing boat , Lavinia II, which was well equipped for the coming boom in the crayfish industry. He died in 1952 aged 54.Date1919PhotographerM. Nixon, C.
