Reference numberLH001880DescriptionThis was part of the Fremantle Municipal Tramways project. The jarrah blocks were relaid after the tramlines were in place. "Manning's Folly" in the background. Originally built as a home for Charles A. Manning in 1858. Manning was Chairman of the Fremantle Town Trust 1859 - 1867 and occupied the house until his death in 1869. For many years it was used as a liquor warehouse by W.J. Byrne. The building was demolished 1928. Tolley and Co, wine and spirit merchants, registered in WA on 20/09/1886. They occupied this site from 1901 - 1911.
