Reference numberLH002692DescriptionFred Baglin addresses the crowd on the Esplanade from the bandstand after the confrontation on the wharf known as "Bloody Sunday". The waterside workers stormed onto the wharf on 4.05.1919 to take back possession from the Naval authorities. They destroyed the Labour Allocation Bureau, threw barricades into the Harbour and returned to the Fremantle Trades Hall in Collie Street where speeches were delivered.
