Reference numberLH004015Description39 Marmion Street was a Workers Home Board house; constructed in 1914/1915 as part of a scheme set up by the Scadden Government (1911-1916) to help wage earning families to own their own homes. It was on Lot 1614 and originally number 108 Marmion Street. Marcella and John Ernest Gabbedy and their seven children lived there from 1914/1915. They paid 5 shillings per week to buy the house.
