Reference numberLH004164DescriptionThe turnstiles were built in 1914 and dismantled for the extension of Parry Street in 1986. The building material was stored at the Council Depot in case it could be reused but as the bricks had weathered it was decided to sell them. New turnstiles were designed by the Council Architect, Agnieshka Kiera in 1986, winning an Architectural Design Award in 1987.
