Reference numberLH004548DescriptionWith the development of South Beach as a holiday playground and picnic destination in 1909, the old hall that had been on the Long Jetty was moved to South Beach to be used as a dressing shed. In 1922 it was demolished and replaced with the former Base Hospital which became the Hydrodrome. Pictured here are a large group of men and boys who have been working on the demolition.
