Reference numberLH005140DescriptionA Burns Night ball at the Caledonian Hall in James Street. The Fremantle Caledonian Society was founded in 1888 and held monthly meetings in the Victoria Hall. On 27th June 1903, the foundation stone of their new building, the Caledonian Hall, was laid by the Hon Chief Donald McDonald McKay. The architects were T R and B M W Burwell of London and the building cost about 2000 pounds.
