Reference numberLH005185DescriptionThe Boom Defence Building was built in 1943 and used for the making and repair of torpedo nets. Before the new Fremantle Port Authority Administration Building was completed in 1963, this building was used for office accommodation, and after that as a Waterside Workers assembly area and then as an indoor hockey stadium in 1982-1985. During the Americas' Cup it was refurbished to become a media centre.
