The original building on the lot was a cottage and in 1894 the building at 97 was described as a boarding house.For many years the lot was owned by Edward W Davies and then Arthur Elvin Davies.In the 1950s and 1960s and to 1980 the lot was owned by Dave Johnson Motors who had an office, showrooms and car yard at 93 and 95. At one stage there was a nightclub at 97.
