Reference numberLH005304DescriptionOcean View, at 134 Solomon Street, was originally built for Elias Solomon in 1887. Elias Solomon was Mayor of Fremantle from 1889 to1891, 1896 to 1898 and 1900 to 1901. He was MLA for South Fremantle from October 1892 to April 1901 and MHR for Fremantle from 1901 to 1903. In the 1920s and 1930s the house was used as a maternity home, run by Nurse Sheedy. When the hospital closed in 1938/39 the building again became a private home.
