Reference numberLH005319DescriptionThe Marich Buildings on the corner of henry and High St were constructed c1897 as two storied stuccoed brick offices and shops. The design was by architect F W Burwell. In 1844, the Royal Hotel was on the site and later a shop and residence were built. From 1880 to c1948 the property was owned by the Brockman family and from 1948 to 1991 by Nicholas Marich. In the late 1970s part of the building was a boarding house.
