Leah Street was created to provide road access to the new properties that were sold during 12 June 1886 to 16 October 1891. The name Leah Street continued on Certificate of Titles for many years but is shown in an old street directly dated 1936 as Baker Street. The origin of Leah and Baker Street names is unknown.
