Named afterNamed after Dublin, Ireland - as the city nearest to the birthplace (Navan) of Charles Yelverton O'Connor who was Western Australia's Engineer in Chief of Public Works and Manager of Railways. He designed the Fremantle Harbour and used rock quarried from Rocky Bay.
