Named afterHenry Passmore (1840-1920). Arrived in Western Australia in 1865 aboard "Racehorse", as a warder in charge of convicts. In charge of convict public works, roads, river dredging, etc. Member of North Fremantle Council, Justice of the Peace. Lived in Raleigh Avenue.
