CouncilDescriptionCantonment Hill provides the Fremantle community and the general public with an opportunity to create an outstanding natural park which focuses on passive recreation and conserving one of Fremantle's few remaining remnant stands of native vegetation. In order to upgrade the ecological integrity of the area and provide for the passive recreation requirements of the community a Management Plan was commissioned by the City of Fremantle. The resulting Plan addresses all the major environmental issues and advocates a rehabilitaion programme that will involve the community at a grass-roots level. The plan also encourages all relevant land owners to participate in the process of managing the site.
