CouncilDescription In 1991, the City of Fremantle's Environmental Health Department was approached, over concerns regarding the effects of airborne lead levels on children using Council's Esme Fletcher Day Nursery on the corner of Parry and High Streets, Fremantle. Enquiries with the State E.P.A. showed no current lead levels were available for airborne lead levels in Fremantle, although continuous monitoring was in place in central Perth. A previous study of airborne lead in Fremantle was conducted by City of Fremantle Health surveyor Luke Ryan in 1984/85.
