This reports documents the results of an investigation designed to monitor the occurrence of eutrophication in Cockburn Sound during the summer of 1974-75. The major objectives of the programme were to quantify and describe the occurrence of algal blooms on a monthly sampling basis during the period November 1974 to April 1975, to relate, if possible the observed characteristics of eutrophication to the pattern of water circulation in the Sound, to evaluate and roughly quantify the amount of nutrient input to the SoundImprintFremantle, W.A.
