Heritage and Special Projects BranchDescriptionOn 31/1/94 an analysis was carried out using the wet and dry paint scraping technique in order to determine the original paint colours used on the balconies of the original police quarters which comprise part of the Henderson Street Police Precinct so that recommendations could be made as to an appropriate colour scheme for the timber verandahs. This report includes a Record of painting history as the documentary evidence of the layers of paint found on the timber work on the north-west facade of the building constructed in 1903 and on the south-eastern facade of the building constructed in 1897.
