Review of proposed outer-harbour at Mangles Bay :interim report
DESCRIPTION
Corporate AuthorWestern Australia .Town Planing DepartmentDescription The Cabinet decision of March 15 1982 proposed a review of outer-harbour requirements. The review undertaken in the form of a study under the direction of a Technical committee examines the study area with a view to establishing whether areas other than Mangles Bay are suitable for development to meet the future container shipping needs of the Port. This interim report contains a preliminary assessment of harbour needs and site options. The report identifies the future container cargo to be planned for and has established a significantly reduced need for container facilities from that envisaged in the current Mangles Bay proposal. This has resulted in a reduced site area requirement and the possilibity of two site options for Mangles Bay. An examination of the study Area indicates three other possible site options viz: Naval Base, Catherine Point and North MoleImprintTown Planning Department , 1982Collation1 v. : col. maps ; 30 cm.LanguageEnglishDate Published1982NotesCover title; "July 1982"Dewey Class387.109Publication FormatReport
