The study is made up of "dossiers" of each of the 13 buildings which make up the eastern blocks in Henry Street in order to define a base from which conservation and restoration can take place. The dossiers comprise a catalogue of the status of the buildings - thier past and present use and ownership, the historical background and development to the present form, establishes the significance as individual components and of the street as a whole, reports on the physical condition of the buildings to help formulate policies for their future use, maintenance, restoration and redevelopment. Later sections on Architecture, Townscape, and Planning define the architectural qualities of the buildings in the street, to be documented through the final report, and used as a case study for a typical West End street in relation to Fremantle City Council policies, guidelines and Town Planning schemesImprint[Fremantle, W.A.] The Author 1982Collation1 v.
