AuthorYoung, LindaCorporate AuthorWestern Australian MuseumDescriptionThe W.A. Museum assumed formal title to Samson House in December 1982. Work began on this conservation plan in mid-1983, beginning with historical research prepared by the Museum and an assessment of the building's condition with consequents budgetary items proposed by the then Public Works Department (now Building Management Authority). A preliminary report was prepared in December 1983 (Linda Young, "Samson House: towards a conservation analysis") which contained a preliminary Statement of Cultural Significance, which has remained the same. The contents of the house were catalogued and immediate repairs recommended by the PWD were amended and approved and a general philosophy for the project adopted. Building work began in August 1984. A draft of the "Conservation analysis and policy" was finished in March 1985, after discussion with Museum division, was slightly amended, enlarged, and is presented in this documentImprint[Perth, W.A. : Western Australian Museum], 1985Collation33 leaves : ill., plans, ports. ; 30 cm.LanguageEnglishNotesSpiral binding.
