AuthorAbrugiato, SebastianaDescriptionSebastiana Cristofaro ( Nella ) was born in Sicily on 14 January, 1931. She describes her childhood in Sicily and Tripoli, Libya. When WW11 was declared the Fascist goverment ordered all children between 4 and 14 years to leave Tripoli for Italy. On 7 September, 1952 she married Frank Abrugiato by proxy and did not see her husband until 29 August 1953 when she arrived in Fremantle. The couple settled in Perth and in 1953 opened the Roma Restaurant in High Street, Fremantle.
