Western Australian Building Management AuthorityDescriptionThe Princess May Reserve contains elements of cultural heritage significance dating from 1854 and represents a series of important planning building campaigns dating up to 1912, when the complex was virtually complete as a primary education institution. The principal buildings, namely the Fremantle Boys' School (now FTI - Film and Television Institute of Western Australia), Princess May Girls' School (now Fremantle Education Centre) and the Household Management Centre (now known as 'Clancy's Tavern and Restaurant')and the amphitheatre together with fragments of the original perimeter wall and the spatial qualities of the whole complex, are of considerable significance. Presently, the Fremantle Boys' School and Princess May Girls' School are on the Register of Heritage Places on an interim basis.
