Draft strategy plan for South Fremantle Tip Site study area
DESCRIPTION
Corporate AuthorFremantle (W.A. : Municipality). CouncilDescription As the South Fremantle Tip reached its tipping capacity the Council recognised the need to undertake a study on the possible redevelopment of the site. In February 1985, Hassell Planning Consultants Pty Ltd, and Soil Engineering Pty Ltd were commissioned to undertake a study of the South Fremantle Tip and Foreshore. This study was completed in May 1985 and as a direct result the southern position of Sandown Park was developed as a Caravan Park. Since a number of land use, geotechnical and road planning studies in the area of the South Fremantle Tip had been undertaken in recent years, the Council decided that it was appropriate to prepare a strategy/concept plan, drawing of these and additional studies as a guide for the future development of the site and adjoining properties. The development of this strategy plan commenced in January 1989 and involved a fairly complex technical planning process interlinked with an extensive programme of public participation. The technical side of this process is examined in this reportImprintFremantle, W.A. : City of Fremantle , 1989.Collation26, [5] p. : ill., maps ; 30 cm.LanguageEnglishNotes"November 1989"; Archival copy held offsite with Council Archives PC0151Dewey Class711.5 DRAPublication FormatReport
