A report was issued in August 1985 which contained estimated of the numbers of visitors expected from W.A. country areas, from interstate, and from overseas. Further studies were carried out to assess any changes which had occurred in the intentions of visitors arriving from interstate, and in the expectations and plans of Perth residents in the light of their experience with the World 12m Series held in February 1986.
