The waterfront zone is one of the City's greatest resources, and is paricularly important given its strategic location adjacent to the City's major commercial district, the West End. This zone accomodates Fremantle's vigorous fishing industry and includes the oldest buildings in the City and the State. The zone includes fish shops, the beach, the Maritime Museum, the Esplanade Park, Italian Club and the Round House lookout.
