DescriptionContents: - Postcards album (early 1900's): Contains a collection of postcards - mostly views of ships and liners, also photos of sailors - sent to Miss Young by clients of the Sailors' Rest where she was hostess. Some just say 'hello', others give their latest news, some say 'thank you', others prepare for their next visit. - Two autograph books (one of them presented to Miss Young in 1909) : drawings and cartoons, signatures, remarks and lines of poetry from some of Miss Young's friends, 1909-1915. - Song books and (on cover : P.H. Miller, Grocer & wine merchant): words only. - Hand-made binder containing 11 letters (1895-6) : apologies, invitations, love letters received while Maggie lived in Port Melbourne. Also one letter in Danish, addressed to her at the Sailors' Rest in 1900 or 1901. - 14 photos of sailors and ship officers Maggie befriended.
