The place contributes to a substantially intact late nineteenth and early twentieth century streetscape close to the centre of Fremantle.ArchaeologyConditionHistoryMalcolm Street was named for Sir Malcolm Fraser, the Commissioner of Lands and First Agent General for Western Australia in London (1892). In 1896 part 11 of the lot was vacant. In 1897 there was one cottage on pt 11 owned by Mrs Slater. In 1899 there were 2 cottages on part 11 owned by CV and S and WB Birch.
