It is historically significant as a representation of typical workers' houses in the Fremantle area. The place is an example of the Victorian Georgian style of architecture. The house is on Town Lot Pt 1424.Physical DescriptionHouse, 3 Montreal Street is a single storey timber and iron house designed as an example of the Victorian Georgian style of architecture. The walls are painted weatherboard on the front elevation and fibrous cement sheeting to the side. The roof is hipped and clad with corrugated iron, and has a half central gable. The façade is symmetrical with a central front door flanked on either side by timber framed windows. The verandah has a separate dropped corrugated iron bullnose roof supported by turned and chamfered timber posts.
