Plans between 1952 and 1955 show the site as vacant. In 1956 plans prepared by Fremantle Architects Allen and Nicholas were submitted by Lindsay Hudson Brown and approved by council. Additions to the place included extensions in 1957 and a roof cover and brick storage area in 1962. The building was occupied by Gills Transport Service from 1959-1974.
