The place contributes to a substantially intact late nineteenth and early twentieth century streetscape close to the centre of Fremantle.ArchaeologyConditionHistoryA house was built on the lot for James Lilly in 1898. He was a Fremantle steamboat proprietor in 1880, a Justice of Peace in 1886 and an agent for the ships "Rob Roy", "Otway" and "Macedon". From 1885 to 1905 he was the director of the Fremantle Gas and Coke Company. From 1886 to 1889 he was the manager of an Adelaide Steamship Company. Physical DescriptionSingle storey rendered house has a zincalume hipped and faceted gable on the façade projecting bay.
