A black and white photo taken in 1978 shows 29 Swanbourne Street as a narrow house with a front door on the right hand side if facing the house. There is a tiled roof and tiled verandah. Construction appears to be rendered or painted stone or brick. There is a low wall to the verandah, also a low wall with a metal gate (a frame and cyclone mesh) at the front of the block. The house would appear to be one room wide opening off a hallway. There is a small gothic louvered vent in the front gable end.
