Only a few lots on the street remained vacant in the 1920s. House, 18 Thompson Road, was built circa 1904 on the corner of Frederick Street (which changed to Hevron Street in 1923). The first resident listed in Post Office directories in 1905 was John Buchanan. From 1908 until directory records cease in the 1940s the resident is Mr Frederick William Moore. A 1939 sewerage plan shows that the house has a full length front verandah, and a rear laundry near the dividing fence to No. 16 to the south.
