Arthur Bryant, also a carpenter, was the occupant. This situation continued until c. 1910, when the property was bought by George McDonald. A diagram dated 1954 shows a weatherboard cottage with an ‘L’ shaped plan form. The cottage had a full length front verandah and paths linked the rear of the house with a large galvanised iron building in the backyard. George McDonald was the owner and occupant until his death c. 1960, after which title to the property passed to Fanny McDonald. Mrs McDonald continued to own the house until 1975 and the property has had a number of owners since that time. This place was included in the "Heritage Study South Fremantle", prepared by John Taylor Architects, for the City of Fremantle, June 1993. It was also included in the list of heritage places in the City of Fremantle identified by the Fremantle Society (1979/80) - BROWN -significant for making a positive contribution to the built environment of Fremantle.
