In 1930/31, Harry Goodes was listed as the owner of the house, which was occupied by William Monaghan. The Goodes family subsequently moved into the house, which they owned until c. 1944. Annie Lamp owned the property for a short time, before selling it to Sarah and William Beesley. In the late 1950s, the property was again sold – this time to Edward Wirth. Edward Wirth owned House, 34 Walker Street from c. 1957 to c. 1962. Albert Wirth was then listed as the owner and occupant until his death c. 1977. The house has had a number of owners since this time. A diagram dated 1954 shows a weatherboard house with a centrally located path linking the house with the street. No verandahs are shown on the diagram. Extensive paving at the rear linked the house with several galvanised iron and weatherboard buildings at the rear of the backyard. This place was included in the "Heritage Study South Fremantle", prepared by John Taylor Architects, for the City of Fremantle, June 1993. It was also included in the list of heritage places in the City of Fremantle identified by the Fremantle Society (1979/80) - BROWN -significant for making a positive contribution to the built environment of Fremantle.Physical DescriptionSingle storey corrugated iron roofed house substantially obscured from the street by front fence and trees. The roof is hipped and the verandah is under a separate corrugated iron roof with square timber posts. The front fence is of brick piers and timber pickets.
