During it’s initial voyage the ship visited Fremantle on a goodwill visit for several days on the way to the French Pacific region. The City of Fremantle has a close relationship with the French with the city friendship/sister city program and the visits by the French navyRelevance to the CityFremantle has an important history with the French through two World Wars and also civic history.
