This plaque has a wooden base and has a shield with the regimental badge of the Irish Guards in the middle. The centrepiece of the plaque is painted wood and is outlined by a gold coated metal. The badge features a green three leaf clover and inside the clover are three gold crowns on each leaf. Behind the clover is a red X on a white background. Circling this is a blue outer layer with “QUIS SEPARABIT” and “MDCCLXXXIII” written around the top and bottom, respectively. Quis separabit translates from Latin to “Who shall separate” in English, and MDCCLXXXIII in decimal numeral is 1783. This is surrounded by a chandelier type arrangement of sword blades at different lengths. This is all on top of a shield in a navy and maroon colouring. Above and below the shield are two ribbons; the top one reads “REGIMENTAL BAND” and the bottom one reads “IRISH GUARDS”. The ribbons are coloured navy with a gold underside and the text is also gold-coloured.
The back of the plaque has three stickers. The first is a cream green circle sticker from the manufacturer of the plaque. It has a drawing of a knight and also reads:

The second sticker is a white sticker with “CE 075 Regimental Band Irish Guards” written in permanent marker and the third sticker is of the union jack.

There appears to be only one documented visit to Fremantle by the Band of the Irish Guards was on 24 January 1987 when the band performed Beating Retreat at Fremantle Oval as part of the Festival of Perth. It is corroborated by a SLWA list of Festival of Perth programmes from 1980. The SLWA also has a poster promoting the performance the Band of the Irish Guard at the Festival of Perth but it is unavailable online and the date is not provided. The Colonel of the Irish Guards at this time was Sir William Walter Mahon who served from 1985-1988. The artistic director of the Festival of Perth was David Blenkinsop, who held the position from 1975-1999.
