It had hit a reef on its way from Fremantle to Bunbury with a cargo of ballast. The vessel was a 36.9 metre carvel barque, built in Sunderland UK in 1864 and registered at Port Adelaide to owners W.R. Cave & Co. The vessel was under the command of Captain Swan when it sank. Various copper and brass bolts and a glass and copper telescope lens have been salvaged from the wreck site.
