Surgeon on H.M.S. Sulphur, and Colonial Surgeon. With Lieut. Preston, Collie explored the Collie and Preston Rivers. Dr Collie was later Government Resident at Albany. Previously this site held cottages and stables and a blacksmith's. A warehouse was built in 1923. It later housed Maritime Agencies. In Aug. 1988, the owners proposed demolition for a hotel carpark. Plans by Longley Dundas Architects show a brick building with a corrugated iron trussed timber roof, and high level windows. The ground floor houses various retail outlets.
